CENEX 2011

CENEX 2011 is the Josef Korbel School of International Studies’ first multi-team, comms-linked, full-day simulation. I am the Project Manager and Lead Writer for the exercise, working with several other students in bringing it to fruition. This exercise is strongly backed by Josef Korbel School Dean Christopher Hill and will be a continuing exercise taking place in 2012 as well.

CENEX takes place May 7th, 2011 and is based around a crisis diplomacy scenario occurring in the Taiwan Strait. Please take a look at the site when you get a chance. On May 7th at 9:00 AM MST you can watch all the action unfold from the Day of Play Screen.

The Fund for Peace

I’ve been working at the Fund for Peace in Washington, DC since the beginning of September on a 3-month internship. I’m mainly focused on a project we’re doing with the United Nations focusing on genocide prevention in overlooked areas around the globe. I’ve really learned an amazing amount and have worked with some really great people.

In the final term of the academic year I’ll be working on the final part of a three-part series on the Cyprus conflict – from escalatory dynamics to peacemaking on the island.
